Ecuador's Chancellor, Ricardo Patino, made a speech yesterday at the Asia-Pacific Forum adovcating the abolition of veto power in the United Nations Security Council. Citing the the advances made by Latin America and Asia in recent years, Patino said that he advocates "full participation from every region of the World." There is no permanant, Latin American member of the Security Council. Source: El Comercio
