Spain - Oct 29
Spanish police have arrested 51 people across the country, including senior politicians, in the biggest anti-corruption sweep of its kind in the country’s history. Believed to be part of a widespread network of corruption, those arrested will face charges of money laundering, embezzlement and influence peddling. The operation is the latest in a series of corruption scandals to have affected Spain's political parties, banks, football clubs and even members of the royal family. Source: Al Jazeera, Reuters
