The Spanish Finance Ministry’s health insurance system, Muface, is paying fewer hospitals and doctors in Spain.  Approximately 1.5 million people are in danger of losing medical coverage and may be forced to find alternative medical centers for specialized care.  Some sources claim that the cutbacks are caused by insufficient insurance premiums and an inability to finance growing demands for health services.  The Finance Ministry has denied these claims and maintains that even more funds have been allotted to pay for insurance premiums than before.
