Backlash against Uber in Mexico came to a head on March 20 when disgruntled taxi drivers attacked an Uber vehicle carrying a passenger with baseball bats. Though no one was injured, the attack illuminated taxi driver's anger towards Uber for taking over their business. The government is working with local workers to impose regulations on the company and others like it, but no law has been passed so far. Source: El País
