The parliamentary Future bloc offered Tuesday to reach a compromise in the latest attempt to break the deadlock that has left Lebanon with no president for nearly six months. A law that extended Parliament’s mandate by two years and seven months went into effect Tuesday, and opposed political parties can now file a challenge with the Constitutional Council.
