Kenya - Feb 3

The Kenyan government recently requested an aid package from the IMF that will be used in the event of future shocks to the Kenyan economy, such as a natural disaster or terrorist attack. The IMF has agreed to secure 700 million USD for Kenya due to the country's economic importance in the region. The funds, which the Kenyan government has stated it does not intend to use, will be available for use for the next 12 months. Source: BBC
