Cote d'Ivoire - June 13th, 2014

The ICC confirmed four charges against former president Laurent Gbagbo on Thursday (6/12). After receiving statements from 108 witnesses and 22,000 pages of documentary evidence, the court has charged Gbagbo with crimes against humanity after the 2010 and 2011 elections. All of the crimes were committed in the post-election violence in Abidjan on four separate occasions. Gbagbo is charged with individual responsibility for the crimes, which were allegedly committed with members of his inner circle. http://allafrica.com/stories/201406131423.html
