Colombia - Feb 2

Talks between negotiators from FARC and the Colombian government resumed this Monday. Although negotiators last year agreed on three of the six unresolved issues, they still have yet to reach consensus on disarmament, the rights of victims, and implementation of accords, areas that President Santos has recognized as the most contentious. Santos has declared 2015 to be "the year of peace" and asked his representatives to expedite the negotiation process.  Source: El Espectador
