A sharp decline in the value of Russian economy is hitting Central Asian economies, in particular those of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. These economies are dependent on transfers from workers in Russia and on imports too. This is a reminder how much dependent these countries are on their former colonial master. Source: The Guardian
